María Dolores Pitarch

Tenured lecturer at the Department of Geography from the University of Valencia, although she has been a lecturer since 1996. She has also taught at the Master Degree in Management and Promotion of Local Development in different editions as well as at the Master Degree in Techniques for Environmental and Territorial Management.

Her main areas of research fall in the sub-discipline of Economic Geography, with a special attention to the analysis and territorial impact of economic activities. She is currently developing research projects on environmental and social sustainability in urban and metropolitan areas, with a special focus on the use of quantitative (SIG) and qualitative techniques (surveys and interviews, etc) to establish indicators related to these issues.

She has also participated in research related with obligatory mobility, transportation and its spatial impact at local level.
