Journalist and great connoisseur of the Arab world. She is a Professor at the University of València as well as the Director of the Mediterranean Citizen’s Assembly Foundation (FACM). She is also a member of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and has published several books, among them “Palestinos”.

As a journalist, Bañón is specialised in international information. She started working as a journalist in Canal 9 in 1989, specialising in sports. She feels a strong connection with the world of sports and she holds great memories from that time, when it was not usual to see women anchoring sports news.

She is a journalist and great connoisseur of the Arab world. During the first Gulf War, she was a special envoy in Israel and Palestine.
