Dr. Gemma Galdon-Clavell, an internationally renowned expert in technological ethics and algorithmic accountability, will deliver the closing keynote at the 5th International Social Innovation Forum. Her talk, titled “Artificial Intelligence, Social Innovation and Ethics to Promote More Inclusive Societies”, promises to be an important reflection on the ethical challenges posed by AI and how social innovation can contribute to building a more equitable future.

Gemma Galdon-Clavell is a pioneer and global force in AI security and auditing. As the founder and CEO of Eticas Consulting, she has led the development of the ITACA platform, the first solution to automate impact analysis and monitoring of AI systems. Her work has earned her recognition such as the Hispanic Star Award at the United Nations in 2023, the Ashoka Fellowship in 2020, and a nomination for the EU Prize for Women Innovators in 2017. The BBC highlighted her as one of the “people who are changing the world,” and Forbes Women honored her as one of the “35 leading Spanish women in technology.”

Dr. Galdon-Clavell actively advises international and regional institutions such as the UN, the OECD, the EIT, and the European Commission. She has also recently participated in high-level forums such as the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council, re:publica, and TEDx.
